Hi, I’m Daniel Hunter, Psychotherapist
I am registered with Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) to practice psychotherapy, with extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Why I Do This Work
I’m passionate about helping individuals move beyond the patterns and obstacles that keep them stuck. I understand how overwhelming facing life's challenges can feel—and I’ve witnessed firsthand how implementing practical strategies can create real, lasting change.
I believe the process of growth should be collaborative, goal-focused, and grounded in proven evidence-based interventions. My aim is to offer a space where you are understood, encouraged, and empowered to take clear, meaningful steps toward creating the life you want.
Training & Approach
I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), with certifications in Community Health Methods and Evaluation, Community Health Planning and Implementation, and Human Services with an emphasis on Mental Health and Relationships, as well as Nutrition and Fitness. This allows me to tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs.
Whether you're seeking psychotherapy services for yourself or a loved one, I'm here to help you develop the skills and insight necessary to create the life you want.

Support for Men's Issues
Men face a unique set of challenges that aren't always easy to talk about. This service offers a space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface—whether it's managing stress or anger, figuring out your role as a husband or father, struggling with work-life balance, or just feeling disconnected from a sense of purpose. We can also look at how expectations around masculinity might be shaping your experience and relationships. Together, we’ll focus on developing skills and practical tools to create the life you want.
Anger Management
Anger is a natural human emotion, but when it feels overwhelming or leads to conflict, it may be time to develop healthier ways of responding. I work with clients to identify underlying triggers, build emotional awareness, and practice effective techniques for managing anger. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral principles and tailored to your personal goals, offering a nonjudgmental space to explore and improve how you handle frustration, stress, and communication problems.
Personalized Self-Care Support
This service is designed to help you connect with daily habits that support your emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Whether you're struggling with consistency, motivation, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we’ll explore your current routines and create realistic strategies to promote better life-balance. Through supportive conversation and behavioral tools, we'll build a personalized self-care routine that reflects your needs and priorities.
Nutrition & Fitness Support
This service focuses on building healthier habits around food and physical activity, without providing medical or nutritional advice. I offer supportive guidance to help you identify emotional triggers for overeating, create more intentional eating habits, and find enjoyable ways to stay physically active. We work together to develop sustainable lifestyle shifts that align with your values and goals, while increasing accountability and self-awareness.
